Activating Your Free License

After installation, the first time you log in you'll see a screen letting you know you don't have a license yet. Don't worry — FirstWave offers a free 100-device license and activating it only takes a minute.

Steps

1. Log in to Open-AudIT. You'll be presented with a splash screen prompting you to activate.
2. Click the green Activate button.
3. Select your country from the dropdown. This step is required for GDPR compliance.
4. If you're outside a GDPR country: You'll see a short form asking for your name, email, and company. Fill it in, accept the EULA, and click Accept EULA and Activate. Your license is installed automatically.
5. If you're in a GDPR country: You'll be directed to the FirstWave website to submit a contact form. Once the team responds with your license string, paste it into the text box on the licensing page.

If You Closed the Page

No problem. You can get back to the licensing screen at any time:

• Go back to the splash screen and click Restore My Licenses, or
• Navigate to Menu → Admin → Licenses

From there, click Enter a License Key on the left side and paste in your license string.

What the Free License Includes

The free license gives you full Open-AudIT Enterprise functionality for up to 100 devices. It's a great way to evaluate the product in your own environment before deciding whether to expand.
